Colour palette when designing a mural

To achieve a cohesive and successful mural our preliminary designs have to be well considered and practiced. In particular the colour palette. Matching up colours to a client's interior scheme or just making sure everything 'sings' in unison is vital to our work. For this project for the coffee terrace a Capsule Records in Brighton's Brunswick Town, Clara designed a botanical mural that weaves in the colours that were used throughout the interior of the record shop. We used a mixture of Little Green, Farrow and Ball and Craig and Rose colours for our paints. Do check our book 'Making Murals' for more tips on colour and palette when designing a mural.
